Air France 777 From Paris: Emergency on Descent to Cayenne
An Air France Boeing 777 from Paris CDG declared an emergency whilst on its descent into it’s destination of Cayenne yesterday.

Air France flight AF952 is a routine scheduled flight between Paris CDG and Cayenne/Rochambeau Airport, with the affected rotation being operated by F-GSPQ.
As per data from Planespotters.net, F-GSPQ is a 22.8 year old Boeing 777-200 that was delivered to the French carrier back in March 2001.
Of the 777-200 variant, the carrier has 18 of them in their vast fleet, of which 14 are in active service and the rest are parked, holding an average fleet age of 23.5 years.
Air France flight AF952 departed Paris CDG at 1143 local time on December 23 and proceeded south-westerly in the direction of Cayenne.
During it’s descent into the aircraft’s destination, the crew onboard F-GSPQ declared an emergency via the 7700 squawk code transmission.
It is understood that the aircraft landed safely into it’s destination, with the affected aircraft still on the ground at the time of writing (24/12/23 @ 1000 UK time).
At this stage, it is unclear what the cause of the emergency was onboard AF952 between Paris and Cayenne, with no further information given at this stage.
