TISS Mumbai sees mean CTC of Rs 26.31 lakh during final placements

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai has completed final placements for its flagship HRM & LR batch of 2022-24, with a mean CTC of Rs. 26.31 lakh and median CTC of Rs 25.28 lakh. The highest CTC stood at Rs 49 lakh; the average CTC of the top 10% and top 25% was Rs 39 lakh and Rs 35.26 lakh respectively.

While the highest salary is the same as last year, both the mean and median CTC have dropped from last year’s levels of Rs 27.22 lakh and Rs 25.75 lakh respectively, in a year that has been challenging for institutes across the board.

66 students out of the participating cohort of 78 received a package of Rs. 20 Lakh and above, the institute said in a statement on Wednesday. Around 26 out of 78 students – 33.3% of the batch — received Pre-Placement offers (PPOs), compared to 41% last year.

The process witnessed the participation of regular recruiters like Accenture, Accenture Strategy, Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Asian Paints, Citibank, HUL, ITC, Marico, Nestle, Pernod Ricard, Reliance, RPG, Tata Steel, Texas Instruments, among others.

Aditya Birla Group rolled out the highest number of offers, followed by Reliance, Accenture, Asian Paints, BPCL, ITC, and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Alkem Laboratories, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, Bandhan Bank, Barclays, ClearTax, Interglobe Aviation (IndiGo), Schneider Electric, Total Environment Building Systems, and Trident were all first-time recruiters, while companies like Aarti Industries, Airtel, and KPMG were back on campus after a hiatus.Maximum number of candidates will be joining FMCG/FMCD and conglomerates (20% each), followed by Manufacturing (13%), BFSI (11%), and Consulting and IT/ITeS with 7% each.
